Summon Night Craft Sword Story:Hajimari no Ishi features four Guardian Beasts. One of them is acquired in the start of the game, and cannot be changed. The chosen beast will assist the player with magic and items during the battle, but unlike the past two Summon Night: Swordcraft Story games, it's possible to fight using your Guardian Beast. Also unlike the previous games, the Guardian Beast is never actually referred to as such.
