From the introduction: Act II opens with the PCs recovering from their recent fight against Molleus and the Mummers. The evidence accumulated thus far suggests Molleus played a role in the four murders that started everything. Although Molleus and some of his minions escaped, they suffered a defeat and a setback. They need time to regroup.
