Spellbound! is designed to teach children spelling. In the game, Morty Maxwell and his five robots have entered the Shady Glen School Spelling Bee. The player is given a spellbinder to play games, such as word searches, flash card, and crossword. Then Spelling Bee could be played. There were five levels of spelling bees: Classroom (set in a classroom), Schoolwide (in the auditorium), Citywide (Town Square), Statewide (in front of a capitol building), and National (in front of the White House).
