Designer Summary The city of Siqaba lies deep within the desert. Pilgrims travel here to give homage to Melatria, the Burning One, called Ever Hungry, the Goddess of Fire. Siqaba is at the edge of a vast flat plain dotted with columns of fire that burn hotter than a forge. These flames never die. Within the plain of fire is a monastery, and a great salamander, holy to Melatria, lives within the pyre at the center of the monastery. Sparks from the Fire is a story-telling game that has no referee or game master. Each player takes the role of a pilgrim trying to reach the monastery.
