This world is entirely different region by region with slightly different rules, styles (particularly in humour) and types of people. Every mundane, terrestrial sitcom exists and is going on in this world, you yourself can flit from one to another (although you can choose to stay in your current plane) by going to an area associated with a specific show although the time period is likely to change as you do so.
