From the introduction: Welcome to Japan in the year 1987! The country itself is undergoing a period of rapid economic growth and loving it! Unfortunately, all is not well. A plan to rule the world has been set in motion by a powerful and mysterious cult named Golgom. For many years, Golgom has been ruled by the mysterious Creation King. As the cult’s tradition dictates, a new Creation King must be chosen every fifty-thousand years. The selection process involves finding two worthy candidates who will be transformed into mutants deemed Century Kings, sentenced to fight for the crown with the survivor becoming the new Creation King.
