[User Summary]: Shogun: Total War is the first game in the Total War series. As a Daimyo (a Japanese noble warlord), your task is to unite Japan under your rule and be proclaimed Shogun (dictator, ruler). The game is split in two parts, a turn-based strategic game where each player move armies on the map and conduct diplomacy, commerce and research, and real-time battles where opposing armies in the same province fight. The game also includes several famous battles of medieval Japan, and a network multiplayer mode.
