The game uses a timing based grappling system, energy meter to indicate how worn down a wrestler is, and power meter for the use of special moves and finishers. The roster contains ten popular wrestlers from the New Japan organization including Jushin Lyger and Vader. There are two modes of play: G1 Climax and VS Mode (Single or Tag Match).
