Dark Future was an expansion set sold as boosters for the Shadowfist game. The story takes place in the future juncture of the Secret War. The Reascended are introduced: the Ascended reborn using High Tech. Also, a new faction debuts: The Purists are masters of magic, math and paradox. From the booster box: The Architects' iron rule weakens as they fight a civil war masterminded by Homo Omega, who uses the distraction to plot humanity's destruction. It all comes to a head in the year 2062, as heroes die, a new faction is born, and the world spirals closer to a Dark future.
