She disappeared after the incident and was never seen nor heard from again. The tavern then went through a string of new owners, none of whom could keep the business afloat. The culprit? Odd noises, apparitions, and just a few disappearances. The tavern was haunted. Now, the business stands boarded up and abandoned, a squalid testament to Madame Acelina’s grisly crimes. Lately, however, passing travelers have reported strange sightings within the tavern. Though none can say exactly what they’ve seen, the reports all have one thing in common: the darkness of that place has been seen to writhe, as if the shadows themselves have come alive.
