The game teaches themes from Buddhism and rebirth. Basically, it's a race in which you want to be the first to reach space 64 (single victory). Since the game is played in 2 groups, there is also a group victory when all members of the group reach space 64. A player rolls the dice and may - depending on the current special rule - move on, take a black or white stone, jump to a certain square. take an event card, etc. White stones can be exchanged for a stupa, which provides an aid to rebirth (restart). White and black stones may not be taken to the target field and must be worked off by sitting out.
