From the introduction: Rites of Passage is an "interlude" for a party of 4 to 6 1st-level characters (or alternately, 4-8 characters with NPC classes of levels 1 to 2). This is adventure is meant to introduce new characters to their first real combat encounter… and learn that all is not always what it seems.
