"Rise and Decline of the Three Kingdoms" is a self-published wargame based on the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, a Chinese historical novel. Players control one Warlord in the end of the Han Dynasty. Many leaders do an important function as well as the story in the game. They appear and leave by the fate card. Turn order is decided by a chit-pull activation system. Active player chooses an action from recruit, diplomacy and war per province. A Battle is resolved in the method decided every round with dice from Leader Duel, Intrigue and Army Combat. Victory is determined by controlled province valute and city value at end of the game.
