Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D, known as Biohazard: The Mercenaries 3D (バイオハザード ザ・マーセナリーズ 3D Baiohazādo za Māsenarīzu 3D) in Japan, is a third-person shooter video game developed by Capcom for the Nintendo 3DS. The game was announced at the 2010 Nintendo conference in Japan. A combination of the "Mercenaries" mini-games featured in Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5, players must defeat as many enemies as possible within a set time limit. The game includes Wi-Fi connectivity for cooperative play from players around the world, as well as new modes and characters from across the series. Playable characters include Chris Redfield, Albert Wesker, Hunk, Claire Redfield, Jack Krauser, Jill Valentine, Barry Burton and Rebecca Chambers, competing in maps from Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5. The game features a playable demo of the upcoming survival horror game Resident Evil Revelations. Save data in Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D cannot be reset.
