From the introduction: Welcome to Reservoir Elves, a D&D "Fantarantino" scenario. The style is classic D&D fantasy as it might be re-imagined by the film director Quentin Tarantino. That is, we talk about fireballs, longswords, language, and have long monologues about a lot cool stuff. Game characters are all hard-boiled elf gangsters in the city of Waterdeep. Professional criminals assembled by a sallow mastermind to perform a dangerous job. They do not know each other beforehand, and are handed aliases so they do not need identify themselves to each other. The job is complicated by town guards and the fact that the group of plotters, among other things, includes a psychopath, an amateur, a gangster with cold feet, and a traitor. With the stars misaligned over Waterdeep, the motley group will have to be lucky if they want to survive the job - and each other!
