Ransomware

Publisher's blurb: They thought they were going to enjoy a nice, quiet meal in an upscale inn. But then the scream came from upstairs.... Madam Lamenta's husband Freyderic has had his personality stolen! The heroes are asked to solve the mystery before the ransom has to be paid (or her husband's personality is gone forever). There isn't much time, so they'll need to work through the night. This adventure introduces players to special "COUNTDOWN" rules that should be used while solving the mystery. If the countdown time expires, the mission is lost! The special rules make this a perfect adventure to use in a side trek, a convention event, or a tournament offering. Ransomware is easily scalable; originally written for 4 characters of level 5.
