From the Introduction: This manual contains the rules for generating monsters in Quest as well as a large number of pregenerated "monsters". There are many natural creatures represented as well as a large number of humans and humanoid NPC's (Non Player Character). These monsters are good for random encounters and for role-playing the various sorts of people that the Player Characters are likely to encounter wandering in towns and cities and through the countryside. Take these only as an example and feel free to change them as necessary.
