A fitting name, either way, for the high gravity, composite ooze/dust world, where the ubiquitous dust clogs everything that mud does not, and heavy equipment is swallowed up by quicksand mires and playas of talc. The name, Qlaarp, is a phonetic rendering of an Aboleth word for a particular type of nutrient-rich clay. That etymology has led ill-informed outworlders to the mistaken conclusion that the Aboleth Mud-Lords are native to the planet, when in fact they are alien invaders.
