Prospero's Isle

from the introduction A choose-your-own Crossroads adventure set in the world of L. Sprague De Camp and Fletcher Pratt's "The Incomplete Enchanter" Using the wonky mathematics of the syllogismobile, Psycologist Harold Shea's had escapades of misfired magicks in the universes of the Kalevala, Orlando Furioso and Faerie Queene... But tonight, Shea, his Faerie-land wife Belphebe and colleague Vaclav Polacek are only attending the theater - until lovelorn Vaclav, smitten with a Shakespearean heroine, zaps all three of them into the world of The Tempest. Almost. Because in this world, the sorcerer Prospero never arrived - the Isle is in the thrall of foul witch Sycorax, who's turned Areal into a harpy and lost sailors into stone. Vaclav turns himself into a cow! Unless Harold's magic-math can survive hippos, unicorns, sprites, demons, things, fire drakes lots of goblins, and baby Caliban, Sycorax will turn Shea into shish kebab and beautiful Blphebe into Bev-B-Que! And Harold Shea's magic never works the way he intends.
