Project: Chiron

From the introduction: Hidden in the concresteel bunker lies a Project remembered only by the machines designed to fulfill it. Surrounded by the debris of a military base that was directly hit with orbital lasers, its walls guard the “Pelion Throne”: a psionic amplifier, enabling the control of a giant glowing locust swarm which hibernate in the tunnels below. The scientists responsible for this horrible weapon have long turned into radioactive dust but the Centaurus units still search for a powerful psionic to take the Throne and unleash havoc upon the land.
