Postcard Brittany is a relatively fast and simple but historical 6-turn sudden-death wargame about General George Patton's August 1944 coup de main attempts to grab the major French ports of Brittany, before the Germans could organize a defense. Regimental level: 14 German units, 3 French FFI/maquis groups, and 11 US units in hex-and-counter format. 1-4 player game with at least initially hidden German units spread out in the peninsula. Allied movement impeded by Strassperre - roadblocks - as well as German units ... as well as traffic jamming on roads. FFI groups can recon unknown German units and destroy undefended German roadblocks. Patton's special engineer-equipped Task Force A included. Historically, Patton failed, chafing at the corps commander's hesitancy, but you can do better. Right?
