From the introduction: What humans believe to be the Self is only the very highest level of our consciousness, the very tip of the Iceberg. Beneath that lies the Subconscious, the parts of ourselves that we either do not or cannot consciously acknowledge. However, beneath even that is something even greater – the Sea of Souls, the Great Collective Unconscious from which all humans are born and to which all humans return. This Collective Unconscious shapes human lives from birth to death, and in turn, human lives shape it, each life casting ripples through the Collective Unconscious.
