User Summary The 7th installment in the project Shrine Maiden series. Perfect Cherry Blossom is a straightforward shoot'em-up, except that the player controls a flying girl instead of the typical spacecraft. When enemies are shot down, they may drop various "items", such as Power Ups, Point items or other special items with various effects. The game consists of 6 stages, each stage having a mid-boss and an end-of-stage boss. In Cherry Blossom, the player can choose between playing the characters Reimu Hakurei (shrine maiden), Marisa Kirisame (witch) and Sakuya Izayoi (maid). All three character can choose between 2 shot types, creating 6 combinations. The backdrop story for Perfect Cherry Blossom is that Reimu and Marisa are investigating why spring never comes because of the cold. They venture into a land where a cursed cherry tree stands, haunted by old ghosts.
