From "Adventure Summary and Background:" This adventure has two "paths" – one for lower-level PCs (APL 2 through 6) and one for higher-level PCs (APL 8 through 14). All groups will explore the first level of the Catacombs at the behest of Heru Bas, who does not know what is really going on but who fears that the increasing level of undead activity is a portent of some greater calamity yet to come. Once the PCs have explored the first level, the adventure splits into two paths, with the lower-level parties dealing with Kufti (trying to prevent his summoning of the Black Sorcerer) and higher-level parties proceeding deeper into the Catacombs to try and find and deal with the Voice of Tzizhet.
