Penny Dreadfuls

User summary: In Penny Dreadfuls the game master is referred to as the Author. The Author's role is traditional. Players have characters known as Investigators. The Investigators "investigate" a scenario presented by the Author; the game presupposes the scenario will be primarily a puzzle or mystery that can be solved. Difficult or opposed actions are resolved either through narrative development or, if needed, by coin flip using the rules presented.
