User Summary The Overlord's Handbook includes general advice for the Overlord in running a campaign and takes the time the emphasize the role-playing possibilities open to the Overlord. The Handbook also introduces a variant that would allow players to get together on a regular basis in a way much more reminiscent of classic RPG play than is suggested in the core rules. Several sections expand on the core rules adding wrinkles to: Politics (population moral, alternate taxation, & new ways to handle media); Spying (several new charts are included); War and Battle (war aids for the Overlord, new ship types, cost to build custom ships, etc.); and Trade (rules for computing how many important trade goods are available at any given moment).
