Game Info

Description

Operation Apollo is a race to the moon and back published late 1960s. The game has a 3 dimensional metal earth and moon embedded into the board and 2 roulette wheels. The spaceship playing pieces separate into 3 stages (rocket, command and lunar module). The lunar module is magnetic to stick to the moon. By the spin of the roulette wheel players leave earth and travel in an orbital path to the moon, needing to land on certain spots to enter a moon orbit and landing. The playing pieces separate on landing, with the Command module remaining in lunar orbit. The lunar module lands on the moon and remains. Players then travel back to earth needing to re-enter at a critical point. If their spaceship overshoots your lost in space and out the game. The first to have their command module back to earth is the winner. —user summary
