For setup just open the cup and remove the octopus bread balls, the octopus catapult, the board and the cards from the cup. Place the board underneath the cup and shuffle the cards. Now in turn order each player draws a card with either a 1 or a 2 on it, which decides the spot on the board from where the player has to shoot the octopus bread into the cup.
