OBTINEO is a 2-6 player, abstract strategy game, with a modular terrain field (so the game is always different), three dimensions of play, resource-driven expansion, and several ways to play and win. OBTINEO has 3 phases of play: Build, Expand, and Conquer. In the Build phase each player places one of their hex tiles per turn until the OBTINEO island is complete. Once the island is complete during the Expand & Conquer phases (which will run together)each player turn will go as follows. 1 Player Collects Resources according to where pawns are at beginning of turn, 2 Player purchase new units, 3 player moves pawns, and 4 if Player has captured enemy units by moving into diamonds they occupy and collecting resource cards, player can purchase and move onto the island additional troops. OBTINEO is won by conquering each enemy by either capturing all of their troops or by holding and blocking their ports.
