Now the children must enter the Dreamlands together and rescue them, and in the process, confront their worst fears. The Dreamlands is a twisting, ephemeral landscape. It is the collective imagination of all dreamers made manifest. A winding, peaceful river may turn suddenly into a giant snake further downstream; mountains may loom large and imposing but become rolling hills of verdant grasses and sweet smells when they step foot onto them; only to be overrun by shrieking goblins of another’s dream… Nightmare’s home is deep in the Darkness of the Dreamlands, twisted, ash covered, fear riddled.
