User Summary The 5th installment in the project Shrine Maiden series. Mystic Square is a straightforward shoot'em-up, except that the player controls a flying girl instead of the typical spacecraft. When enemies are shot down, they may drop various "items", such as Power Ups, Point items or other special items with various effects. The game consists of 6 stages, each stage having a mid-boss and an end-of-stage boss. In Mystic Square, the player can choose between four characters Reimu Hakurei (shrine maiden), Marisa Kirisame (witch), Mima (evil spirit; a boss from Highly Responsive to Prayers) and Yuka (daemon, final boss from Lotus Land Story. The backdrop story for Mystic Square is that monsters have started to pour our from a suspicious monster cave. Reimu travel there in a try to fix the problem, the other characters for tourist purposes.
