The island maintains surveillance of the straits and occasionally sends a boat to inspect cargoes. The penmanship on the dispatches has changed, indicating forgery, and the authorities are suspicious of malicious activities. Not knowing what might have transpired, it is recommended that the party land at a cove on the north end of the island, opposite the tower and docks.
