SLICE pits the player characters against an escaped madman that has gone on a killing spree and has kidnapped the sheriff’s son to lure the sheriff and the PCs into a showdown at Mr. Slice’s abandoned home. The madman has stocked his home with traps and monstrous “pets” just for this occasion. There are even a couple of creatures that have made this abandoned house their home over the last 15 years. Maybe a little demon summoning at the very end will be for good measure. Most of THE BOOK OF DARK SECRETS short adventures have a darker than the norm undertone to them, hence the series title name. This one is one of the darker of the 20 short adventures, so once again, this is NOT for children or those that are faint of heart. It is a dark fantasy meets slasher in a fantasy RPG setting.
