Moon River uses the Kingdomino game system but without dominoes. Instead, the game uses half-dominoes presented as puzzle pieces. You will be able to craft your own dominoes the way you like by combining these puzzle pieces. This mechanism greatly improves the replayability and the randomisation of each play. In addition, the map isn't built around a castle anymore but will start from the river and expand away from it. Also the crowns (victory point multiplier) from Kingdomino are replaced by cow meeples with cowboys able to move them.
