Game Info

Description

In 1947 before LEGO had produced it's first plastic brick, they published this game about traffic safety, a theme you would see continued in many of their later products. If was created in cooperation with Justitsministeriets udvalg for størrer Færdselssikkerhed (The Ministry of Justice's Committee for Greater Road Safety), and was based on the official traffic laws in Denmark at the time. The game included metal cars, wooden tokens, a wooden die and cup, cards, a traffic sign poster in a box, and a separate gameboard. All players start at one end of the track, and roll dice to move forwards, observing all traffic rules, and answering the meaning of the traffic-sign they end on, or answering the questions if ending on a ?-space. Failing to answer correct means you lose points. Running out of points means you fail your driving test, and have to start over with less points. Failing a second time and you are out of the game. In order to win the game you have to avoid failing your driving test twice, reach the STOP space and have the most points. —user summary
