The official servers were shut down on December 18, 2019. Monster Hunter Frontier (formally Monster Hunter Frontier Online) is an MMO spin-off of Capcom's Monster Hunter series. The game will feature online play, with quests playable by up to four players simultaneously. PlayStation Vita players will be able to use the same data as the PlayStation 3 version, and will be able to connect with other players via WiFi "on the go". The game will continue to expand with new content added through patches. There is currently a Japanese, Korean and Chinese (Taiwan and Macau) version of Frontier. The game has a built-in IP blocker that prevents IP addresses outside of Japan from connecting to the server. The game ran for 12 years and received multiple expansions: Seasons 1 to 10 Forward 1 to 5 Frontier G 1 to 3 Frontier G Genuine and G Genuine 5 to 10 Frontier Z and Frontier Z Zenith Noteworthy Features: Guku ducks replace Poogie.
