Perfect for a fantasy campaign it can be turned into a bandit's stronghold or a secret clerical library to be explored. The Meteora is a small self-sufficient monastery placed over the peak of a high mountain. Usually there is a road leading to it, but often it is a very difficult and dangerous route. For this reason the clerics of the monastery have devised an elevator consisting in a giant basket with a winch and ropes they activate manually to lift goods and people from the base of the mountain.
