MENAGERIE: War of the Arklords is a quick playing “4X” card game (explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate) depicting the conflict between 2 to 4 Arklords (players) who gather and subjugate creatures, amassing powerful armies to reign over the lands to directly or indirectly defeat the opposing Arklords. The play area is created from a random pattern of concealed region cards with the size and shape of the area dependent upon the number of players. Each turn, players will spend action points, selecting from a variety of tasks – move and explore the land, gather creatures, initiate combat, draw cards, or call upon an overwhelming force of obliteration.
