Men & Magic Volume 1

From publisher blurb: These rules are an amalgamation of the earliest published volumes of the oldest fantasy role-playing game; those little booklets that ushered in an age of adventure and magic for so many. What you have before you is an attempt to gather, organize, edit, and customize all that written material into a set of similar volumes that retains the old-school feel and form, while offering more ease of use and reference. The first three volumes of this series will collect and edit all relevant data from those original tomes, plus the prequel and the supplements that followed, into a cohesive set of guides that will be self-contained and complete. The final result will honor the original spirit of the source material in every possible way. From the Scope: This presentation of the rules will provide full coverage of the game, as originally presented. Any changes or edits are included for clarity and completeness. All relevant rules or additions from supplements and magazines (The Strategic Review and The Dragon) are also provided, in proper place and context. For the sake of brevity and continuity, Chainmail is not used as a reference, as those rules were modified in the earliest supplements, and these rules incorporate the alternate combat system. These rules are compatible with the Avremier Campaign Setting, as presented in its OSR format. No ownership is claimed or implied. This is entirely a reference work.
