User summary: This early version of the game was published for free download prior to the commercial development and publication of the game. While is presents the core concepts and mechanics of the commercial game, it is not nearly as developed or refined. Primarily it is interesting for the early implementation of the "Bull's Eye Battlemap" and the initial setting presentation. Also of note, Clint Krause is acknowledged as an early supporter of the system, though Chris Perrin retains the sole credit on this version.
