Description

Who's behind the mask? A mystery game for 2 players. Choose whether you want to be the detective or join the criminal Red Circle. The Hideaway The Masked Man chooses where to hide on the game board and covertly writes down the corresponding letter on the sheet of paper. This is the Masked Man’s hideaway. The Detective mustn't see this letter. The Investigation The Detective begins his search for the Masked Man by taking a coin from the Coin Reserve Zone and placing it on a free corner of the game board. The Masked Man treats this coin move as an enquiry. He answers yes if he is hiding in any of the squares adjacent to where the coin has been placed. Only squares directly touching the coin square count (not diagonal squares). He answers no if the coin has been placed beyond those squares OR if the Detective has placed the coin directly on his hideaway. The Detective moves the coin to a free square adjacent to the current square - including diagonally - and proceeds to repeat his enquiry. The Raid After a total of three enquiries, it is time for The Detective to make a raid. The Detective says in which square he thinks the Masked Man is hiding. The Masked Man then reveals the letter he wrote on the sheet - thereby identifying his hideout. If the Detective is correct then he WINS the round and places the coin face down in the square with the Masked Man’s hideout. If the Detective is wrong then the Masked Man WINS the round and puts the coin in the Masked Coin Area. The first player to win three coins wins the game. The game is presented on a vinyl 7" gatefold sleeve including a record produced by Timothy J Fairplay. —description from the publisher
