Game Info
The plane of Alara was once a mana-rich world in balance. Then came the Sundering, and it split into five divergent Shards, each unaware of the rest. This set introduces Mythic Rares, the first multicolored Planeswalkers, and several new game mechanics (exalted, devour, and unearth). Each Shard lacks two colors of mana, too, resulting in five strategically unique approaches. Shards of Alara is the first set in the Shards of Alara block. It’s a 249-card expansion set with randomly inserted premium cards. —description from the publisher
