Lucky Cats is a press-your-luck dexterity dice game. The King only loved science and ordered everything superstitious to be destroyed. All the lucky cat statues in the land were smashed, except one. Unfortunately, a giant fire burned down all your houses the next day. You are a small business owner. To win, be first to either earn ¥10 to rebuild your house OR to fix 2 broken cats. The dice feature three different resources: money, broken cat pieces, and hongbaos. The other faces give money to other players, tax you, or invest (hide) your money. The more taxes everyone pays, the more dice everyone gets to roll as the city is rebuilt. The hongbaos are used to reroll your dice or to force another player to reroll. In the center of the table, a plush lucky cat beckons. If any player rolls two cats or two taxes, be the first to grab the cat and you get the broken cat pieces or avoid the 50% tax. Optional variable power tiles and coins allow you to manipulate the dice, your cash, or your luck. Take-that powers are entirely optional to include or not. Variable starting conditions on the back of your stores allow advanced players to draft starting conditions. Lucky Cat was designed for big or small groups of diverse friends.
