Description

From publisher blurb: Talukeld the Broken was a leader of a great horde of warriors who swept in from the West, conquering the Known World. It is said that his throne, made from the bones of his enemies, has manifested numerous magical powers. The Kingdom of Kriqatha is threatened. An army of giants with invasion in mind is massing on Kriqatha’s borders. The adventurers have been called to the palace of King Goscelinus, where they are tasked with questing for the Lost Throne. With the throne in the King’s possession, nothing can stand before his army. His knights will sweep all his foes into the sea — but only if the adventurers can bring back the throne in time. Talukeld’s Tomb is located deep in a fiery mountain two weeks from the King’s palace. It looms high above the blasted landscape of the Broken Lands. If the adventurers have no transport, the King gives them horses, a cart, and the consumable supplies they’ll need for the journey to the tomb and back again. He also promises them 1,000 splonders each, along with the right to keep any treasure they find in the tomb (save for the throne itself). The King gives the adventurers an ancient, crude map showing the way to Talukeld’s Tomb. No one has been there in generations, so nobody knows what dangers might be encountered along the journey, nor what they might find in the tomb once they arrive. The map has a curious symbol in one corner: a clenched fist holding a short, broad-bladed spear...
