Description

Llamanomics (a contraction of Llamas and Economics) is a supply and demand negotiation card game where you use Llamas to buy, transport, and sell goods. Each turn a player takes a card from the deck. Throughout the deck there are 'Burgermeister' cards. When a 'Burgermeister' card is pulled players may choose to sell any of the commodities they have on their llamas for their current point value (determined by the 'Demand' cards). The values of the different commodities change throughout the game. During the game, you can play action cards to upgrade your own llamas, or apply negative effects on other players. The game ends when the deck runs out of cards. The player with the most money wins. Llamanomics is a card game about supply, demand, and llamas (and the occasional alpaca). The goal of the game is to get the most valuable commodities and sell them for the most points. You play as a trader, taking his/her commodities to the market to sell. And what will be carrying your commodities? Why, your trusty llamas! The more llamas you get, the more you can carry. The more you can form corner the market on different commodities and squeeze out your competition. Capitalism style! Llama style! So, the strategy comes in with 'ACTION CARDS', which allow you to upgrade your llamas, downgrade your competitors llamas, steal llamas, swap commodities, and all sorts of other shenanigans! 'DEMAND CARDS' add yet another element of gameplay as the value of the commodities changes throughout the game. You have to be clever in placing llamas, commodities and action cards. You have to be even more clever in choosing which other players you will trade with, or harass, make alliances with, and take the free-llama-market by storm!
