The GEM council react by sending the Lightforce fighter into action, the only spaceship in that sector. The player operates a spaceship shooting basically everything while vertically scrolling, in this 'nothing new' arcade shooter. It did have colourful graphics, and a good soundtrack by Rob Hubbard
