From the introduction: Forget the heroic epos you read, reality is far different. You won’t slay monstrous beasts, or numberless enemies alone, this would be a suicide. You wouldn’t even survive alone in this world. For this reason you won’t travel alone. You will be accompanied by others of our caste. And if this won’t be enough you have been trained to create creatures to aid you in combat. But yet this might not be enough to repel the enemy. For this reason you have the potential to use extremely powerful magic. Remember that you are just a soldier, armed and armored in lifeforger created weapons, supported by war creatures, and able to use magic, but still just a soldier, who swore to do everything that needs to be done to protect the people of our world. For this reason your alignment is only one, and it lies with the caste.
