Lex Talionis

From publisher blurb: The latest gossip is spreading through Justitian, passed from drunk mouth to hungover ear and back again, concerning the events that took place in the Cross Quarter just a few days ago. It all started when a brawl of unprecedented proportions broke out on Banding Hill, which ended up getting so bad that even the quarter’s guards got pulled into the fray. From there, it didn’t take long for Judges to get dragged into the mix. In the days following the Cross Quarter raid, many injured and limping Anabaptists slowly trekked out of the Cleft, having slept off their hangover and agreed to pay the fine for their drunken and riotous behavior. However, one cell in particular has been occupied since the event, with only a single prisoner spotted inside. The identity of this solitary man is close to unknown, leaving just a name whispered in the back streets of Downtown – “Zeno.” LEX TALIONIS places a group of characters at the center of an interwoven network of factions and parties of interest, in a high-tension, top-secret operation launched at the very heart of the Protectorate. They must navigate through uncontrolled hinterlands, following a plan passed down from above to the best of their abilities, and react to an array of unexpected situations. They must stay on course against the odds, while resisting an insidious threat trying to sabotage them from within.
