User summary: The sequel to System 3's immense success exploration/combat/puzzle adventure The Last Ninja. Last Ninja 2 featured an exactly similar gameplay mix of puzzles, exploration and combat, where the player controls a ninja in an isometric flick-screen environment, searching for and using objects in different ways to find the way out of the stages. In Last Ninja 2, the player is ported through time to contemporary New York. In 1990, a re-mix accordingly called Ninja Remix with slightly changed graphics and newly made music was released for the 8-bit systems. There is also a Ninja remix title released for 16-bit systems, but the 16-bit systems release was not a remix of Last Ninja 2, but of the original game The Last Ninja. The game was also ported to the NES, but there it used the title "The Last Ninja", which added to the naming confusion of the first two games in the series.
