It was an unusually hot afternoon when Dracken Crane arrived in a wagon. The town was wary, but this newcomer seemed friendly enough. After a few weeks getting to know the villagers, Dracken’s true intentions were revealed. The self-proclaimed ‘Fire King’ unleashed fiery demons each night until the people surrendered. Now, the villagers are slaves to Dracken’s will. Two weeks ago, the mayor, Edrick Hornbottom, managed to get a message out via pigeon. In the message, the mayor included a map to the cavern that Dracken uses as a fortress. From there, the fire king sends forth minions to keep the village in line. The mayor only hopes that someone gets the note and can defeat Dracken. This single-sheet adventure is designed as a side-quest that a game master can run with little to no preparation. It is scaled for four 4th-level characters.
